Three dimensions

Asgardia is a sort of reverse Atlas: Asgardia is standing on the shoulders of the world. We build on what already exists: ideas, knowledge, commerce, products, services and so on. So for the executive part of Asgardia we are dependent on the world. Our focus is space and therefor sustainability is very important, recycling and robustness should be at the core of Asgardia. This implies that support of the executive part is also very important. The above implies that three axes can be defined:

An example: on the Executing Axis SpaceX could deliver a logistics service to transport things from a surface to space and back, which is a service on the Goal Axis, whereby Asgardia could deliver collaborative and legal services on the Support Axis. This combination is a cell within the Salta cubesalta being literally the reverse of atlas.

More dimensions

The architecture of the context of all activities is also multi-dimensional. To start, there are multiple layers, including Organization, Process, Finance, Information, Presentation, Application, Integration, Assets and Hardware. Most entities have something in most layers and in every layers complex drawings can be created, describing all kinds of relations. Moreover, there are a few aspects that apply to all those layers.
These include:

  • monitoring and maintenance and support, sustainability and circularity;
  • test and quality assurance, standards and auditing;
  • safety and security.

When the layers are drawn in parallel above each other, those three aspects can be drawn perpendicular to those layers. Effectively, such a drawing becomes a book cabinet, with shelves, side walls and a back wall.
